Overview:
If you need to pause your enrollment, you can request an approved Leave of Absence at any time, which will temporarily pause your academic progress clock. You can restart your enrollment and resume your studies at any point by requesting reinstatement. However, if you are inactive for more than a year, you may need to reapply to the university, though this is not always required.
How It works:
If you need to take a break from your studies, you can pause your enrollment by requesting an approved Leave of Absence at any time. During this pause, your Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) clock is also paused and your monthly subscription fee is also suspended, so you're not penalized for stepping away. If you become inactive for a full calendar month—meaning you don’t attempt or complete any module assessments—you’ll automatically be placed on a Leave of Absence, and your SAP clock will be paused as well.
You’re welcome to restart your enrollment whenever you're ready by simply requesting reinstatement. Just keep in mind, if you’re away for more than a year, you may need to reapply to the university—but that’s not always the case. The process is designed to give you flexibility while helping you stay on track with your academic goals.
