The Professional Development Studio at Newstate University is Newstate U's non-credit division focused on equipping learners with practical, career-ready skills through flexible, stackable programs.
As part of the nation's first AI-Founded, AI-Focused university, its offerings include micro-courses, micro-certificates, and structured professional development programs—all designed to address the evolving demands of today's workforce.
How It Works
You can select from micro-courses, micro-certificates (which are comprised of three micro-courses), or full professional development programs (which are comprised of three micro-certificates). These are offered in a wide variety of content areas, focused on AI in the curriculum. We teach high-value skills in:

- Customer Experience
- Economics and Finance

- Product Management
- Project Management
- Strategy
You can take these individually, or you can take them as part of a cohort through your work. Please submit an inquiry for group enrollments.
These learning experiences are entirely self-paced. These courses are available both within the continental United States and internationally. If you are interested in a degree or university certificate (that is college credit-bearing), please see our full offerings at the undergraduate level, graduate level, including our MBA that's focused on practical AI, and certificates.
All of the learning materials for the courses are available inside our learning platform. There is no extra cost for any materials.
Your progress is also supported by an AI Coach. Additionally, you may submit a final assignment of an Explainer Video to be evaluated by a faculty member. If it meets the expectations, Newstate U will highlight it as part of our ongoing content series.
Your micro-certificates and professional development programs can accelerate your progress towards a credit-bearing certificate or degree.
Cost
Our micro-courses, micro-certificates, and full professional development programs have tuition per learning experience, versus our full degrees and university certificates, which are part of our radically affordable subscription.
